Rockaway Council Knights of
Columbus
88th Annual Mass and Communion Breakfast
The members of Msgr. Wil-
liam F. Burke Rockaway Coun-
cil Knights of Columbus #2672
and Sister Columbiettes will
celebrate their 88th Annual
Communion Breakfast and
Mass this Sunday April 17th.
Mass will be celebrated by
the Council’s chaplain, Father
James Devine at St. Genevieve
Roman Catholic Church at 9:00
am. Breakfast will be served at
the Council immediately fol-
lowing Mass. The Council is lo-
cated at 333 Beach 90th street.
Tickets for the event are nom-
inally priced and are availa-
ble at the Council or may be
purchased at the door Sunday
morning.
At the breakfast the Knights
recognize members and local
individuals whom personify
the Knights motto of Chari-
ty-Unity and Fraternity. The
officers and members of the
Council are pleased to an-
nounce this year’ recipients:
Knight of the Year: Brother

Mr. Danny Ruscillo
The 2672 Club Award:

Rockaway
Council
Knights of Columbus was
formed in 1928 and has been
serving the Rockaway Com-
munity for the past 88 years.
With 756 members, the council
is one of the largest and active
council’s in the New York area
according to Grand Knight
John Gillespie.
The Knights of Columbus is
the largest Catholic fraternal
service organization in the
world. It was founded by Fa-
ther Michael J. McGivney in
New Haven Connecticut in
1882 to assist widows and chil-
dren of the immigrant Catholic
community. There are over 1.8
million members worldwide.
