Ever notice the abstract art outside Beach Channel High School? A couple of sculptures called “The Family” have been there since 1974. The artist who created the pieces, Constantio Nivola, was an Italian immigrant who died in 1988. Many of his pieces can be found on public spaces like parks and housing projects. There are some calling for the protection of the work since many have graffiti or showing wear and tear.
