When someone does something kind, it's important to acknowledge it. When my dog, Jack, had to be put down last Monday, I called the Animal Hospital of the Rockaways. When Samantha and Dr. Seeder from the staff arrived, they could not have been more compassionate. They gave us time with Jack before he transitioned to the "Rainbow Bridge," as well as great hugs. Our sincere thanks to all of them.

Kindness Goes a Long Way
I just want to dedicate the article that the lovely Katie McFadden, editor of The Rockaway Times, wrote recently, to my father, Philip J. Ferrando, who shared the same room in the Promenade Nursing Home and died December 10, 2018. He was born on April 10, 1934. Thank you for writing a wonderful article on my mom, Barbara Ferrando, also residing at the Promenade Nursing Home. My mom has made some lovely new friends including Sharon Turso, August Poole, Karolina and Scott, Mr. Garvey and maybe others who have visited that I don’t know about, and a big Thank You to you as well. The Promenade is requesting the list of names of those who may want to visit once or more. If you would like to visit, you can contact me (Tim Bishop) on Facebook, and I will call the facility to add your name. P.S. The names above are already listed at the facility. God Bless All of You.
