Registration Robo Calls

 Dear Editor:

Many of our enrolled Republican Party members have received notifications urging them to change their enrollment from Republican to Democrat before the February 14th, 2021 deadline. These notifications are being received via robo calls, text messages and emails.

Make no mistake: this notification is intended to trick unsuspecting Republican voters and thin the Republican enrollment in our city.

Over the last few years, we have seen an uptick in Republican enrollment. That was evident in the last election cycle in which Republican candidates, including President Trump, garnered more votes than they had in other cycles. This tells me that the good people of this city, and especially the borough of Queens, are fed up with the Democratic Socialist agenda and are ready to turn the tables on those who seek to destroy NYC.

Registering to vote or changing party affiliation is the right of any voter, but it should be done with great thought and conviction—not through the method of misleading to create an atmosphere of fear.

Never before has it been more important to remain a registered Republican, urge others to become Republican and support Republican candidates for office. It is the only way we can ensure a two-party system of checks and balances and promote common-sense solutions for safer streets, successful businesses, lower taxes and better education.

Chairwoman, Queens GOP
