The front entrance of the Arverne Boardwalk Theater was adjusted to conform to the new city-built ocean promenade, which had a 40-foot width. The old walk was 25 feet wide. By this time, bathing suits of the 1930s were more revealing and making past swimming attire like wearing a “tent” to the beach!
