AmpSurf Partners With U.S. Department Of Veterans Affairs

As we celebrate Veterans Day, AmpSurf is excited to announce that it has partnered again this year with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. AmpSurf was recently awarded an $80,000+ grant to promote and support veterans and their families around the country in their participation in adaptive surf therapy clinics hosted by AmpSurf and our partners. AmpSurf is excited to offer adaptive surf therapy to the veteran community via our three chapters located in California, New England, and New York. Over the past few years, the local Rockaway AmpSurf chapter has assisted veterans with the Hope for the Warriors weekend and through other surf clinics with veterans on Beach 67th Street.

As part of this partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, AmpSurf will also award 10 Adaptive Surf Competitor grants. These will be awarded to Veterans who use physical adaptations to surf and will compete in at least 5 competitive adaptive surf events.

AmpSurf has been doing Adaptive Surf Therapy clinics since 2003 and continues to share the healing power of the ocean and Adaptive Surf Therapy with all people living with disabilities.
