Looking for some last-minute Thanksgiving dinner plans? Don’t fret, there are still some options left, between restaurants serving up turkey and all the fixin’s and businesses that will provide the meal for you at home.
Reservations filled up quick for places like Kennedy’s in Breezy Point and catering company, Ludwig’s, has officially closed off Thanksgiving orders after a high demand, but there are still many great options around town.
Some may not think of Thai Rock for turkey right away, but on Thanksgiving Day, they’re trading in Thai Cuisine and cooking up a traditional Thanksgiving meal. You’ll get your turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, greens and gravy, plus coffee and tea and Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream Truffle for dessert. However, if you are in the mood for Thai, the regular menu will also be available. Reservations are recommended. Large groups should call 718-945-5111 to reserve a table. Tickets are also available online at ThaiRock.us/events/Thanksgiving-2018. Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for kids, 12 and under.
If you’re not in the mood to cook this Thanksgiving, there are still some catering options available. Plus they even have a vegan ordering option for 10-12 people for $400. Call 718-945-5511 to place your orders as soon as possible.
RBQ (Rockaway Beach BBQ) on Beach 97th Street may be the new guy in town, but they’re offering a deal on a 14 lb smoked turkey, a half tray of cornbread stuffing, and a quart of turkey gravy. They also have additional sides, main courses and a full catering menu available. Call 718-318-7427 as soon as possible to place your order for Thanksgiving.
We also hear that Last Stop Gourmet Shop on Beach 116th Street offers a great takeout option for Thanksgiving. Call 718-945-6450 for information.
For those looking to reunite with friends on Thanksgiving Eve, there is plenty of fun to be had at local bars on Wednesday, November 21. Bungalow Bar on Beach 92nd Street is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve bash with music by DJ Timmy Tubs. BayHouse in Breezy Point will have live music starting at 9 p.m. Connolly’s on Beach 95th Street will be open for the night starting at 7 p.m., with Pat Brady behind the bar and DJ Matt Finley spinning tunes. Plus we’re sure other local bars will be open and ready to serve up some fun for the night.
