Kids Become Holiday Architects at RCA Gingerbread House Event

The holiday season is in full swing! On Saturday, November 24, the Rockaway Civic Association got into the spirit by hosting its annual Gingerbread and Chanukah House event.

Members from the Rockaway Civic and community members were welcome to participate in this festive event that included making and decorating gingerbread houses for the holidays. From gumdrops to peppermints and even M&M’s, plus frosting to hold it all together, the participating kids and their families had plenty to work with to make their creations unique. Plus participants got to enjoy coffee, hot chocolate and ring dings while working hard on their houses.

The Rockaway Civic Association would like to offer a special thanks to the Knights of Columbus for allowing them to host this event in their hall.

According to the RCA, “A good time was had by all. Young and old!”
