Sunday’s the day! The annual Patriots Bowl! At least, that’s what it might be considered in recent years. While some may be reluctant to watch the New England Patriots in yet another Super Bowl, at least it’s a good excuse to eat junk food and drink. Rockaway is here for those who want to get into the spirit of the game and celebrate.
The big game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 3 and will be broadcast on CBS. This year, the Patriots will take on the Los Angeles Rams. Besides the game, there will be commercials galore, a halftime performance by Maroon 5, and plenty of snack breaks, whether eating at home or out and about.
Want to get out for the day? Plenty of local bars and restaurants are holding specials during the game. In Breezy Point, the BayHouse will have $3 domestic beers and $4 imports, 50 cent wings and plenty of other cheap party eats to keep you full as you cheer on your team. In Rockaway, head to RBQ’s on Beach 98th for their Big Game Party. For $55, you get unlimited canned beer, appetizers and a pig roast starting at 6 p.m. and through the game. For $50 per person, Community House will have an unlimited buffet and beer special from 6 p.m. until the end of the game. Jameson’s Pub will be running their typical football Sunday special of half-priced drinks and appetizers during the game. The Belle Harbor Yacht Club is hosting its annual Big Game party in the member’s lounge. There will be food, drinks and 100/ 50 pool action. The doors open at 2 p.m.
Just want to watch the game over a few drinks? Consider stopping by Rogers. Rogers Pub will be serving up drinks as people watch the game on a huge projection TV. The Wharf and Bungalow Bar are also great bayside choices with multiple TVs and delicious food to go with your beer. Healy’s Pub will also be serving up drinks with the game on multiple screens.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
