Labor Day Weekend is here and for some parts of town, that means it’s time for Mardi Gras! Plus the concessions and local restaurants and bars will be hopping with entertainment! So keep your Rockaway Groan on. Ain’t no reason to leave the peninsula—the Rock is the place to be!

MARDI GRAS THIS WEEKEND!

You don’t have to go New Orleans to get a taste of Mardi Gras! Stay right on the Rock and get in on the fun in Breezy Point, Roxbury and Broad Channel. On Saturday, August 31, Breezy kicks off the fun with the 61st Annual Breezy Point Mardi Gras Parade at noon and at 2 p.m., the kids in Roxbury can participate in the Roxbury Children’s Mardi Gras Parade. Roxbury’s big parade will take place on Sunday, September 1 at 2:30 p.m. Broad Channel’s Labor Day weekend activities, hosted by the Broad Channel Athletic Club (125 Cross Bay Blvd), includes a parade at 1 p.m. on Labor Day, September 2.
