Breezy knows how to party, especially when it comes to parades. On Saturday, August 31, Breezy Point kicked off Mardi Gras with the 61st Annual Breezy Point Mardi Gras Parade.
From bands to floats to coordinated group routines, the creativity was flowing down Bedford Avenue in Breezy Point on Saturday. Everything for a Queen Tribute to a White Claw crew to flashbacks to the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s and even a much-applauded Mayor Bill de Blasio dressed as a clown, the paradegoers brought claps and laughs in full force. We’ll let these pictures from Lou Romas and Suzanne Valentine tell the story.
Residents made sure to decorate their homes for the occasion as friends and family joined them on front porches to witness the spectacle.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
