Wrestle Talk Questions, Questions, Questions

On this edition of Wrestle Talk, we answer the questions sent to us by you, the fans!

The first question comes from David L. in Rockaway Park and he said, "I grew up a big Hulk Hogan fan. Is there any possibility of him making a comeback?" Well David, in wrestling we have a saying, "Never Say Never," but in my opinion Hulk Hogan can make a comeback but in a very limited capacity. The years of wrestling has taken a toll on his body and I can only see him coming back in a manager or an authority figure role.

The second question comes from Alison H, in Edgemere and she asked, "Who do you think has the better product the WWE or AEW?" Currently, I feel both products are failing to produce good content with the exception of the NXT brand. So, since NXT is part of the WWE, you can say the WWE's NXT brand is delivering better content.

The third question of the week comes from Lisa M. in Rockaway Beach and she asked, "How much do Pro Wrestlers make?" Good question Lisa, a wrestler starting off in the independence scene can make $25 to $50 per match. Once he/she has created a name for themselves, they can make $50 to $100 a match, excluding merchandise sales. If the wrestler signs a contract with a major wrestling promotion, they can make six figures salaries. But, as I have mentioned before, a majority of wrestlers are making six-figure salaries working independently throughout the world.

The fourth question of the week comes from Harry K. in Broad Channel and he asked, "Is Wrestling fake?" Well, Harry this is the question I have answered many times. Professional wrestling is a tough business to be in. The bumps and bruises are real. It takes years of training and dedication to be successful and although the outcomes are predetermined, the physicality is very real.
