600,000 Frozens To Break Even

We’re not sure if this is a floater to see what the place will fetch but $6 million is a real brain freeze. Connolly's, the iconic  establishment on Beach 95th Street, built in 1910, has been in the hands of Jeff Aquilante since 1986. We reached out to Jeff who spends much of the year in Ireland now but did not get a response by press time. The listing is on Zillow.

Why such a high price tag? Well, you could never put a price on the iconic bar, Connolly’s. But the sale includes three parcels of land.

According to the listing put up on Raveis.com by Nicholas D’Addario, the offer includes a home and carriage house at 147 Beach 95th Street, a vacant lot at 151 Beach 95th Street and the Connolly’s bar with the home above at 155 Beach 95th Street. The listing mentions that the bar business will be sold with the property. It also mentions the mixed-use property has an added development potential of 25,000 buildable square feet.

Here’s to hoping that Connolly’s doesn’t go the way of the old Irish Circle.
