Last Saturday, December 12, Santa Claus and his elves stopped by the Little North Pole to share some socially-distanced seasons greetings. Joe Mure invited the community to come pass the brilliant holiday home located at 144-03 Neponsit Avenue, in their cars, to receive a special toy or treat from Santa Claus.
Cars lined up along Neponsit Avenue as a masked-up Santa greeted kids, listened to their Christmas wishes or took their letters to Santa, while elves were hard at work giving out toys based on the kids’ ages.
The drive-by was such a hit that they’ll be doing it again this Saturday, December 19. From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Santa and his elves will be on hand giving toys to kids again. Cars can line up starting on Beach 145th and Neponsit Avenue. And on Monday, December 21, those from the St. Camillus Special Olympics program will have their own special drive-by starting at 6:30 p.m.
The Little North Pole will continue to be lit throughout the season from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and ‘til 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Tune in to 88.7 FM to listen to the music with the home’s lightshow every half hour.
The Little North Pole is collecting donations for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Donations can be made in boxes outside of the home, or at www.LittleNorthPole.org.
