Maybe we just need a few Eagles fans here. It’s been a long-time problem in Rockaway about how some people don’t pick up after their dogs. We like underdogs as much as the next fan, but if horse poop replaces champagne, we’ll stick with the favorites from now on.

Keep an eye out for details of the Third Annual Rockaway Times photo contest. Last year we were supported by the NYC Parks Department and the Jamaica Bay Rockaway Parks Conservancy which allowed us to place poster-sized photos from Beach 19th Street all the way to Riis Park. It’s a great way to show that Rockaway’s Got Talent.

According to Politico, she said about City Councilmembers: “They are often extremely confused and ill-informed and not that smart.” If Eric and Donovan want to respond, they know how to find us!

We’ve experienced just about everything else so it’s understandable why some people thought a tsunami was on the way. The National Weather Service via Accuweather sent out a text alert about a Tsunami Warning but it was just a test (a detail which was not in the alert).
