Here is a close-up side view of the Dublin House, on the SW corner of Seaside Avenue (Beach 103rd Street) and Rockaway Beach Boulevard in Old Irishtown Rockaway, USA.

The year is 1949 and the sign notes there is TV inside the Dublin House. Other signs read Hire’s Root Beer and other types of liquid refreshments and snacks at the time. The sign on the utility pole on the right states that robes must be worn to and from the beach!

Notice the Boulevard is paved but the old brick pavement is still visible. Seaside Avenue was the only street to keep a name when numbers were given out due to the street’s historical significance.

At the top left in the photo is the Schilling Road House at Beach 102nd Street where the Irish Circle Pub & Restaurant was.

The Dublin House and much of Old Irishtown were demolished several decades ago for the construction of Dayton Tower’s West high rises.
