What’s the best away to build awareness and fundraise for local organizations such as the Rockaway Beach “Artistic” Families Support Group, dedicated to raising the advocacy bar for individuals, families and caregivers with Autism Spectrum Disorder — than with a rockin’ concert featuring local Irish musicians, rock bands and comedy acts?
This past Saturday, April 29, Jon Kiebon a.k.a. Jammin’ Jon hosted Rockaway’s first Rockin’ Out For Autism event at Brendan’s Bar featuring an eclectic lineup of local performers including rock bands, Passive Aggressive NYC, Field Goal, Shannon Dinermen with The Skells, WondaFunk; musicians, Arson Wells, Jammin’ Jon himself, John Baxter, Joe Popp and a hilarious comedy act by Shane Kulman, who also served as the mistress of ceremonies.
Much props to Brendan’s Bar’s, Daniel Routledge & Shawn Hiya Dell for graciously hosting the event. Judging from the photos, folks obviously had a rockin’ time!
Stay tuned for the next Rockin’ Out For Autism event at the boardwalk concessions this summer. For more information about upcoming events, check out Facebook page, Rockaway Beach “Artistic” Families Support Group.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
