Blessed Trinity Girls Win Championship

Last Sunday afternoon the Blessed Trinity 5th/6th grade girls soccer team won their third CYO championship with a 2-0 win over SFDS at Fort Tilden. The girls’ quest for a championship began with a dominant regular season that saw them finish in first place with an 8-1 record.

In the championship game, the girls won behind goals from Eve Farrell and Layla Duggan. This victory was truly a team effort as every single player contributed to the championship. All season long the girls worked extremely hard in practice as they improved their skills while having fun. The hard work paid off as they made their fourth consecutive trip to the championship game.

The team would like to extend congratulations to their friends and classmates from SFDS. This was the third time the two teams have met in the championship game. As always, both teams played extremely hard and showed great sportsmanship during and after the game.
