Community Harvest Supper
On Thursday, November 12, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., join the 101st Precinct Sector Charlie officers at Buona Pizza Restaurant (32-13 Beach Channel Dr.) as they offer supper and fresh produce to residents of Edgemere and Far Rockaway. They are also collecting canned/ dry goods donations from 11/4-11/12 at FDNY Engine 265/Ladder 121/EMS 47.
Respect Jamaica Bay Cleanup
Join JBRPC for a cleanup of Rockaway Community Park (between Beach 51st and 58th on the bay) on Saturday, November 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Help remove marine debris from the shoreline as part of the Respect Rockaway movement.
The 100th Precinct Community Council will be outside of the Rockaway Park Stop and Shop on Saturday, November 14, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., to collect food items to donate to a local food pantry. Stop by to contribute.
District Leaders Lew Simon and Jeanette Garramone are holding a Stop & Shop gift card drive to purchase up to 300 hams and turkeys to donate to seniors, the disabled and vulnerable families for Thanksgiving. Stop & Shop gift cards of any amount welcome. The gift card drive runs through November 19. For more info, call 718-945-1216.

The next monthly CB14 meeting will be held on November 17 at 7 p.m. (Note date change). The meeting will be virtual.
Thanksgiving Half Marathon
Rockapulco Run’s next event will be the half marathon on Saturday, November 21. The event starts at 10 a.m. on the boardwalk at Beach 102nd Street. To register, head to www.rockapulcorun.com
