Tides of Joy Toy Drive
On Saturday, December 19, the Far Rock Greek Council is hosting a fun holiday event featuring pictures with Santa, activities, games, music and a pop-up shop featuring local vendors. They will also be collecting monetary donations and toys to give to those in need. The drive takes place from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 14-25 Central Ave in Far Rockaway.
Santa at the Little North Pole
Santa Claus is back and will be giving out toys and goodies to kids in cars as they pass by the Little North Pole. Drive by 144-03 Neponsit Ave from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 18 too santa! Cars can line up starting at Beach 145th and Neponsit Ave.

Resiliency in Rockaway Series
On Friday, December 18, join RISE in this exciting virtual Living Classroom series called Resiliency in Rockaway! In this three-week long after-school program, tailored to middle schoolers, you will hear from knowledgeable, Rockaway educators about the topics of climate change, marine science, and the importance of filter feeders. This is a great opportunity for you to collaborate with students across the peninsula on fun activities and learn how the unique ecosystems that make up the community are adapting to our changing world.
