Stress Reduction Virtual Class

The Rockaway Theatre Company is hosting a free eight-week session on how to manage stress with Elise Maio. Classes held Tuesdays from 8 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. starting March 2. Preregistration required. Downsizing Workshop

House too big? Looking to Downsize? On Thursdays, March 11 and 18, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Kingsborough College is hosting a free workshop on downsizing for those 50 and up. AOH 50/50 Fundraiser

Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 21 is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day 50/50 to help raise money for the organization and all they do. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased from any AOH member. Cross Country Skiing

Every day there’s snow on the ground this winter, hit the trails of Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn on the Cross Country ski trail through the North 40. A National Park Service Ranger will cut a track at first snow. Call 718-338-3799 for trail conditions.

 

St. Patrick’s Food Drive

Senator Addabbo and Lew Simon are accepting donations of non-perishable food items to give to the St. Camillus Food Pantry. Donations can be dropped off at St. Camillus Church (99-15 Rockaway Beach Blvd.) or Last Stop (222 Beach 116th Street).

 

Sea Changes Rockaway Sundays

Want to join in a global movement of jumping into the ocean every week? Every Sunday at 2 p.m.  head to the beach or bay and jump on in.

Food Help for Seniors/Disabled

Are you a senior or disabled person who lives from Arverne to Neponsit and unable to get food during the pandemic? Contact Lew Simon or Jeanette M. Garramone for help at 718-945-1216. If you are able to donate any canned goods or food items to this cause, you can also reach out.
