The 3rd Grade Rockaway Celtics put together a dominant weekend performance, finishing 3-0 and capturing the Dan Trant Tournament Championship. The Celtics showcased outstanding teamwork, toughness, and determination and winning every game by double digits.
Leading the offensive attack throughout last weekend were Joe Hayden, Harrison Long, Aiden Chavanne, and James Bulloch, who consistently provided scoring punch and helped the Celtics build leads in each contest.
In the paint, Keegan Palmer, John Donohue, and Jack Brady controlled the boards and brought a physical presence that set the tone for the team. Their rebounding, hustle, and tough interior play were key factors in the Celtics’ success.
The Celtics also relied on relentless defense and timely scoring from Quinn Riley, Noah McGuiness, Joe Ciazzo, Matt D’Emic, and Thomas McCann. Their defensive pressure created turnovers, sparked fast breaks, and helped the team maintain momentum throughout the tournament.
