Bonkers Over  the Ex

Dear Enchantress,

I’ve got a problem. I can’t let go of my ex. I feel like I never got completion and I know it’s not good if I reach out to him, but I’m kind of obsessed about him hearing what I finally have to say!

I was in a relationship with him for five years and, if I were really honest, the last couple of years were hard, we fought a lot, but I felt like that’s what people do, and then they get married and have kids and live life, like fighting is how people are comfortable with each other. Everyone thought we were getting married.

It’s been two years since we broke up. For the following year, people who I knew and even people I wasn’t close with, would tell me we will get back together, don’t worry. Well, he is engaged to someone else. I look at their Facebook photos constantly. I’m so mad and hurt and embarrassed that I’m still hung up on him. We never had a final conversation. He made it so unbearable that I had to break up with him. I’m more of a mess than I’d like to admit, but you seem so understanding and kind, so I’m finally reaching out for help. How can I move on with my life? And also have completion so I don’t waste any more time?

Dear Betty Bonkers,

I commend you for reaching out for help. I wish to help you declare that this outreach and you sharing the dark secrets of still “holding space” in your mind for your past/ex boyfriend stops now with sharing the troubles you have with letting go. There will be no conversation with him that will give you as much completion as this moment right here, right now.

Here is your declaration, use these exact words; “I declare from this moment on, I am free from any past hurt, any past hope and any misunderstandings that had anything to do with _EX_, and I also release any resistance that may show up that blocks this declaration. I am free, I am free, I am free, and so it is, thank you, thank you, thank you.”

This is a powerful statement, and you can write it on a note and tape it to your mirror, inside your refrigerator, put the writing in your wallet and your car. Anywhere you need to see it.  Read it before bed and when you wake up. To affirm your freedom from this past mind, body and spirit, you must work to rid your mind, body and spirit of old tapes, or old thoughts. For bonus points for yourself, you can shake it out and move your body as you read this declaration. And you do not have to share that you are doing this with anyone else.  Keep it to yourself until you actually believe you are free.
