Movie Under the Stars: Who Framed Roger Rabbit

On Saturday, July 23 at 8:30 p.m., head to the Beach 17th boardwalk to enjoy Who Framed Roger Rabbit. A “Cartoon noir” following detective Eddie Valiant as he seeks to clear the name of a toon rabbit framed for murder. A blend of live action, animation and allegory set in 1947 Los Angeles.” Bring a chair or blanket to enjoy.

On Thursday, July 28 at 8:30 p.m., head to Beach 106th with a chair or blanket and enjoy The Lost Boys (1987 American supernatural dark comedy horror film) under the stars. Sponsored by The Rockaway Hotel and the Rockaway Civic Association.

Temple Beth-El Guest Speaker

On Saturday, July 30, Temple Beth-El (201 Beach 121st), during lunch after morning services, there will be guest speakers: Rabbi Rebecca Epstein, Spiritual Leader of West End Temple and Assemblywoman Stacey Pfeffer Amato who will discuss “Leadership in Government and Community – A Jewish Perspective.” If wishing to attend, call 718-634-8100 by July 27.

Zumba Under the Stars

Lisa G is back every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. leading Zumba classes in the Beach 108th hockey rink, in memory of Lew Simon. Through September 1.

Floyd Bennett Field Kayaking

On Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., head to Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn for a free kayaking program for beginners. Open to those ages 6 and up. Kayaks and life jackets provided. Bring snacks, water and sunscreen.

Yoga on the Beach with Sonia

Every Saturday at 10 a.m., head to Beach 32nd join yoga instructor Sonia for meditation and movement stretches. Bring a towel, yoga mat, and water.

Rock N’ Clean Sundays

Every Sunday at 10 a.m., meet at the Adventure Park on Beach 101 and Shorefront for a free 30-minute workout and 30-minute beach cleanup.

Hatha Yoga with Soupy

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, head to Beach 102nd at 8:30 a.m. for yoga on the beach with Kevin Soupy Campbell.

Shape Up NYC: Cardio Punch

Every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., join at Beach 59th Street and the boardwalk for a free Cardio Punch fitness class presented by NYC Parks. Bring a towel and water. Punch, hook, and kick to motivating, high-energy music that progress into heart-pumping combinations.

Chair Yoga at the Temple
