Remembering Raybee Baby
Ray Marten was the life of the party. And the party goes on in his memory. On Sunday, September 4, Marten’s family and friends gathered to remember the big guy with Raybee Baby’s Beach Bash.
Beach 131st was booming on Sunday as friends, family and neighbors hit the sand to remember the man who loved Labor Day. They donned Raybee Baby t-shirts, and enjoyed a day on the beach with food, drinks, a DJ and even a plane flying overhead with a banner reading, “Raybee Baby’s Beach Bash.”
Marten passed away on June 4 after a battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer at age 59. Many remember Marten for his always fun spirit, which was felt among the crowd as they celebrated his life on Sunday.
