Spanning nine days, September 17 to 25, this year’s festival features 67 films and seven musical performances, plus more at Arverne Cinema. In honor of the tenth anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, a storm that forever changed Rockaway’s landscape, this year’s program begins and ends with stories set during ocean-town floods and contains a sequence of films with a deep current of water. IT’S POSEIDON TIME!

Celebrate life at the sea with your fellow costume-clad ocean lovers at Rockaway’s annual Poseidon Parade! Parade kicks off at noon at Caracas. Check-in and line-up is between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The parade continues along the boardwalk to Beach 95th Street, where they’ll be music and fun activities for all ages.
