Dear Editor:
As we heard on Sunday, we can say whatever we want but it is the follow through—our actions are what really matters. While I understood the teaching conveyed by the Gospel and Fr. Kuroly’s homily, I was curious what Google would say about the expression, “actions speak louder than words.” Here it is. The person’s actual deeds and behavior reveal their true intentions, character, and feelings much more honestly than spoken promises or claims. I am happy to report that even the internet understands the teachings of the Gospel. We need to remember we almost lost St. Camillus. But we took action. We need to speak less and take action.
Just so it happens, there are a few immediate ways to take action. Join us!
- St. Camillus has started a Rosary Group that meets on Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m.
- On Oct 2 at St. Virgilius, First Friday Adoration 3-6 p.m.
- On Oct 3 at St. Camillus, First Saturday Adoration & Confession at 11 a.m. followed by Mass at 12 noon.
- On Oct 4, Blessing of the Animals in St. Camillus Marian Garden at 2 p.m.
- On Oct 7 at 7 p.m., in honor of the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary we are hosting a Rosary Rally and candlelight vigil. We will meet at St. Camillus church and if weather permits process to boardwalk. Lite refreshments will be served afterwards.
Faith in Action,
Barbara Buffolino
