An America 250 Fireworks Spectacular!

An America 250 Fireworks Spectacular!

It was a beautiful night to celebrate America! On Saturday, June 20, the community gathered at Beach 94th Street for an America 250 Fireworks Spectacular!

The event, hosted by Councilwoman Joann Ariola, in partnership with NYC Parks, Sail 4th, the Queens Chamber of Commerce and Queens Culture and Arts Network, was a great success with locals and visitors filling the Beach 94th Amphitheater to see Beatle’s cover band Yesterday and Today play some tunes folks could sing along to, and then the boardwalk for a fabulous Gucci fireworks show on the water. There were also giveaways like red, white and blue light up tubes and Sail 4th water bottles, pens and more.

“What a fantastic night in Rockaway. The boardwalk was filled as people came out to celebrate the USA at our concert and fireworks show on Beach 94th Street! Thank you so much to everyone who made it out, and to everyone who played a role in making it such an unforgettable night! Thank you to Yesterday and Today, Sail 4th, the Queens Chamber of Commerce and QCAN for your partnership! Happy 250th Birthday, America!”

In case you missed it, Saturday’s show was the only planned fireworks show for Rockaway, but head to the beach on July 4th and you may see some unofficial displays.
