The 23rd annual Graybeards Family Run is this Friday, July 31. The races will start near the St. Francis de Sales Church between Beach 129th Street and Beach 128th Street. The evening will begin with children’s races of varying lengths along Rockaway Beach Blvd. at 6:30 p.m. An inspirational run by Rockaway’s Special Athletes will follow at 6:45 p.m. The 1 Mile Run is next at 7 p.m. and then the marquee 5k Run at 7:15 p.m.
Post race festivities will be in the St. Francis de Sales Fr. Grogan Memorial Schoolyard, and includes food, beverages, children’s activities, awards, raffles, and live music. In person registration as well as t-shirt and bib number pickup for those pre-registered is available outside the St. Francis Small Hall on July 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on the day of the race, July 31 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Please contact office@thegraybeards.com for more information.
