Met fans are boasting a bit earlier than usual and are already planning World Series parties after the team announced the signing of pitcher, Max Scherzer. History shows disappointment usually starts arriving around Father’s Day. Here’s hoping the 37-year-old future Hall of Famer gives fans a reason to cheer all summer long.

Those annoying, really uncalled for speed bumps on Shore Front Parkway look like they’ll be here longer than Max Scherzer’s contract. DOT sent this response after filling out a 311 complaint: Due to a significant backlog and limited resources, on site re-evaluations for removal or relocation have been suspended indefinitely. (Indefinitely is city-speak for eternity).  And then DOT adds, Please note that when a new roadway treatment is implemented, it usually take motorists some time to get used to the new pattern. (Or avoid that roadway and clog the Boulevard).
