Our friend from Broad Channel, Dorothy Fraher, reminds us that on January 17 there is the Betty White Challenge. The actress would have turned 100 that day, and to honor her memory, fans have organized an online challenge asking people to pick a humane society, rescue or animal shelter and donate $5 in her name. Dorothy suggests people donate to Noah's Ark Animal Rescue NY, Inc. based in Rockaway. Contact info: Noahsarkny.com  (718) 913-8991.
