A Memorial for a Motorcyclist

A memorial is building at the site of where a local motorcyclist lost his life. On Sunday, June 21, Pawel Boszczyk was killed in a motorcycle accident.

Police responded to a 911 call after 11 p.m. on Sunday night and discovered Boszczyk, who had been launched from his motorcycle after crashing into a light post along the median at Beach 81st Street and Shore Front Parkway. EMS responded and pronounced Boszczyk dead at the scene. He was allegedly traveling at such a high speed that the lamp post fell upon impact.

Boszczyk, 37, was just blocks from his home at 7600 Shore Front Parkway. He was a married father of two. In the days after his tragic death, a makeshift memorial with candles, pieces of his BMW motorcycle and a helmet, formed at the scene.
