I’d like to wish all my friends and neighbors a happy and healthy 2022. We had a very good year in 2021 in spite of extremely difficult circumstances. We're hopeful for better conditions next year. The Rockaway market had a nice uptick in prices during the year. Activity was strong in spite of low inventory levels which are continuing into the new year. While this is not good for the realtor (fewer sale opportunities), it's an ingredient for continual upward pressure on prices. If demand for homes remains the same, then there's a decent chance that sellers will continue to emerge next year, as they did in 2021.
Although the winter has slowed things up, there are some buyers out there - I have them as clients! These buyers tend not to be "curiosity" shoppers, who sometimes appear in warmer seasons. People who are looking in the cold weather and during the holidays are usually not fooling around.
Is selling your home one of your New Year's Resolutions? If so, proper "staging" can be crucial. I can help. Need advice on roofers, electricians, plumbers, construction men, home inspectors, structural engineers, movers, storage, mortgage bankers, clean out services, lawyers, or accountants? Then call me. I try to make selling your home as easy as possible. Love, Robin.
