RTC’S TEEN THEATRE WORKSHOP PRESENTS
LEGALLY BLONDE THE
MUSICAL JR.
Starting this Friday, January 14!
The Rockaway Theatre Company’s Teen Theatre Workshop leaps back to the stage with megahit, Legally Blonde The Musical Jr. The production, presented by Music Theatre International, is based on the award-winning Broadway musical and smash hit motion picture, Legally Blonde. It features large, energetic dance numbers with a witty cast of sorority sisters, law school students, hairdressers and more. The production follows the transformation of perky, fashion savvy, Elle Woods, as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle's boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard—claiming she's not "serious" enough—she takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay, charming her way into Harvard Law School. Along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive, and as she outsmarts her peers, realizes that law may be her natural calling after all. Show dates are January 14, 15, 21, 22 at 7 p.m., and January 16 and 23 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12.
