Spring Equinox Walk
Head to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, March 20 at 10 a.m. and celebrate the arrival of the spring season. Observe signs of the park's awakening and hear poems, stories, and songs that join in the chorus. All ages are welcome. Dress for the conditions. Women's History Month: Explorers and Trailblazers
On Saturday, March 20 at 1 p.m., celebrate Women's History Month with the Urban Park Rangers. Meet on the boardwalk at Beach 96th and learn about trailblazing women, such as Victorian-era scientist Mary Anning and aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart, while the Rangers lead you on an exploration of Rockaway Beach and the Women Veterans Monument.

Cross Country Skiing
Every day there’s snow on the ground this winter, hit the trails of Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn on the Cross Country ski trail through the North 40. A National Park Service Ranger will cut a track at first snow. Call 718-338-3799 for trail conditions.
