Far Rock Community Cleanup

On Saturday, May 1, Far Rock Greek Council is hosting a community cleanup at 11 a.m. Volunteers are welcome to meet at the Mott Avenue train station in Far Rockaway. Gloves and bags will be provided. Enjoy some dinner entertainment on Saturday, May 1 at 7 p.m. as the Rockawades take the stage at Whit’s End on Beach 97th Street.

How about some bbq and tunes? On Saturday, May 1 at 7 p.m., Friends in Sound will be playing classic rock and blues at RBQ on Beach 98th Street starting at 7:30 p.m.

 

Seagirt Community Cleanup

Volunteers are welcome to join at the corner of 5th Street and Seagirt Ave on Sunday, May 2 for a community cleanup along Seagirt Ave from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Electronics Waste Pickup

Need to get rid of those computers, TVs or other electronics? Stop by Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato’s office (9516 Rockaway Beach Blvd) Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. to drop off your e-waste so it can be disposed. For more info, call 718-945-9550

Fort Tilden Hike

Every Sunday at 10:30 a.m., join a park ranger for a walking tour of Fort Tilden, highlighting the fort's role in the defense of New York City during the 20th Century. Call 718-338-3799 to reserve. Tour will be capped at 10 participants. Social distancing will be maintained.  Face mask required.

 

Free Cardio Punch Fitness Classes
