The Rockawades at Harbor Light

On Friday, June 4 at 8 p.m., head to the Harbor Light on Beach 130th Street as The Rockawades kick off the weekend.

 

Beach 109th Cleanup

In honor of World Oceans Day, head to Beach 109th on Saturday, June 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to join the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy and Surfrider Foundation - NYC Chapter on World Ocean Day for a beach cleanup. Hope Day

On Saturday, June 5, head to Cardozo Playground (Goldie Maple on Beach 57th) between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for a community event featuring grocery and other giveaways, music, entertainment and more.

 

Rock the Block Funday

On Saturday, June 5 from noon ‘til 6 p.m., head to Bayswater Park (701 Bay 32nd) for a day of fun with Far Rockaway native and NY Jets player Foley Fatukasi. There will be bouncy houses, dance performances, food, cotton candy and popcorn machine and much more.

 

RBQ Irish Music Fest

Grab your ticket and head to RBQ on Beach 98th Street on Saturday, June 5 for a mini Irish Fest fundraiser with performances by The Brooklyn Bards (1-3:30 p.m.), Niall & The Durty Nellys (4-5:30 p.m.) and The Highland Rovers (6-9 p.m.) $50 per ticket benefits "The Friends of Olivia Benadetto" fundraiser. Fort Tilden Hike

Every Sunday at 10:30 a.m., join a park ranger for a walking tour of Fort Tilden, highlighting the fort's role in the defense of New York City during the 20th Century. Call 718-338-3799 to reserve. Tour will be capped at 10 participants. Social distancing will be maintained. Face mask required.
