On Thursday, December 16 and Friday, December 17 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., head to The Rockaway Hotel (108-10 Rockaway Beach Drive) and shop from a variety of venders from the neighboring area including, Rockaway Candle Co., Zingara Vintage, Stacks by Shell and more.
RBAF Holiday Party
On Thursday, December 16 at 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus (333 Beach 90th Street), Rockaway Beach Autism Families hosts its holiday party with a visit from the Best Dressed Man in Rockaway and Santa Claus. Enjoy raffles for gifts and more.
Full Cold Moon

Santa Sleigh Run
On Saturday, December 18, starting at 11 a.m., the Santa Sleigh Run will be coming through town, making stops at the Redfern Houses (11 a.m.), Beach 41st Cornerstone (12:45 p.m.), Ocean Bay Cornerstone (1:30 p.m.), 71-51 Beach Channel Drive (2:30 p.m.), Hammel Houses Cornerstone (3:15 p.m.) and Beach 116th Street (4 p.m.) Meet the sleigh at one of the stops for a free gift.
Climate Change: The Future Is Now
On Sunday, December 19 at 10 a.m., head to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge to learn about the past, present, and future of climate change in National Parks with a walk to Jamaica Bay’s former “breach” caused by Hurricane Sandy. Reservations required, call 718-318-4340.
WISH’s Winter Wonderland
On Sunday, December 19 at the Belle Harbor Yacht Club (533 Beach 126th Street) Rockaway WISH is hosting a holiday event featuring Santa Claus, music, crafts, snacks, raffles and more. A special sensory hour will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and the main event is from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Winter Solstice Walk
On Tuesday, December 21 at 3 p.m., head to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge and take a sunset walk to welcome the winter season.
