The Rockaway Track Club is kicking off the march with a run on Saturday, March 5. Check in and the after party is at Rogers Pub (205 Beach 116th Street). Both the 5K and half marathon start at 9:30 a.m. on the Beach 116th Street boardwalk. Medals and t-shirts for all participants. Running gloves for the top 20. A free smoothie or Guinness for all runners. Register at Rockawaytc.org
Rockaway St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The 47th Queens County St. Patrick’s Day will be Saturday, March 5 at 1 p.m. starting at Beach 130th and Newport Ave. It continues to Beach 116th, where it turns on to Rockaway Beach Blvd and continues down to Beach 100th Street.
Shilelagh Law
Under the Tent
The Rockaway Rugby Club presents Shilelagh Law after the parade in the tent at 230 Beach 102nd Street. Must be 23 and over to enter. Admission fee. Vaccination card required. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and 2 Degrees kicks off the show at 3 p.m. Shilelagh Law starts around 4 p.m. The Narrowbacks close out the show.

Community Cleanup
On Saturday, March 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., join RISE at 5803 Rockaway Beach Blvd for a community cleanup. With the weather finally starting to clear up, RISE is encouraging everyone to go outside and get their hands a little dirty. To ensure a safe and effective cleanup, RISE will be handing out gloves and bags to all participants. Community service hours available.
Saturday Night Lights Basketball
On Saturday nights from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., participate in this free sports training and programming for teens ages 11 to 18 at the Rockaway YMCA (207 Beach 73rd Street). Saturday Night Lights NYC offers free high-quality sports and fitness training for the youth. Ages 11 to 14 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and ages 15 to 18 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more info see: on.nyc.gov/3sluP77
