Learn to Paddle 101
On Friday, July 8 at 3 p.m., head to the Seaplane Ramp at Floyd Bennett Field to enjoy a fun “how to” paddle program. Learn to get in and out, go forward, turn, stop and back up a kayak. Dress to get wet, wear shoes that will not fall off, and bring water, sunscreen, and a snack. Kayaks, personal floatation devices, paddles, and instruction provided.

Jamaica Bay Rangers Choice: Sounds
On Sunday, July 10 at 3 p.m., head to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center and join a ranger as they explore the sounds of spring at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. Movie Under the Stars: The Loneliest Whale
On Tuesday, July 12 at 8:30 p.m., head to the Beach 30th boardwalk to enjoy The Loneliest Whale: The Search for 52. "This documentary follows the quest to locate the iconic 52 Hertz Whale. Due to its unique and singular sonic signature (a frequency that other whales cannot hear), scientists and the general public believe it has spent its entire life in solitude.” Bring a chair or blanket to enjoy.

Floyd Bennett Field Kayaking
On Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., head to Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn for a free kayaking program for beginners. Open to those ages 6 and up. Kayaks and life jackets provided. Bring snacks, water and sunscreen.
Rock N’ Clean Sundays
Every Sunday at 10 a.m., meet at the Adventure Park on Beach 101 and Shorefront for a free 30-minute workout and 30 minute beach cleanup.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, head to Beach 102nd at 8:30 a.m. for yoga on the beach with Kevin Soupy Campbell.
Shape Up NYC: Cardio Punch
Every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., join at Beach 59th Street and the boardwalk for a free Cardio Punch fitness class presented by NYC Parks. Bring a towel and water. Punch, hook, and kick to motivating, high-energy music that progress into heart-pumping combinations.
