Dear Editor:
Last Sunday’s 11:30 a.m. Mass at St. Camillus was so uplifting. So many people, so much praying and singing and of course happiness to have Fr. Chux celebrate Mass with us again.
When you hear viral, you immediately think about the impact of the internet. Fr. Chux talked about the capability we each have to evangelize in our own way as we move about in our daily activities. We have the power to spread the Good News to invite and welcome people to Church simply by how we treat people. It is very easy when we know and like certain people. Imagine if all of us living in the Rockaway community were more inclusive, more kind, more loving and friendly, more positive with everyone we encounter. We would be spreading the Word. No need for the internet. Let our example and actions go viral person to person. Who knows what will happen!
We are looking forward to Fr. Kuroly’s return but we have had great substitutes with Bishop Brennan and this week, Fr. Chux. It was great to see Fr. Chux again. All who attended Mass greeted Fr. Chux with a warm and loving welcome back!
Thank you to those who donated blood!
‘Til next Sunday. All are welcome!
Faith in Action,
Barbara Buffolino
