Dear Editor:
It’s funny how certain songs come back to you that are still relevant in their messaging. The Beatles wrote songs “Imagine” and of course, “All You Need is Love.” These songs touched on the teachings in Sunday’s Liturgy. Thank you to all who joined the 11:30 a.m. Mass at St. Camillus as we heard God Loves Us. We just need to believe it and pass it on.
On Sunday, September 27, the parish of St. Camillus-St. Virgilius will be honoring Our First Responders at the 10 a.m. Mass in St. Virgilius and the 11:30 a.m. Mass at St. Camillus. Hospitality Sunday will follow Mass in Springman Hall. There will be a special American Heart Association Heart Saver CPR presentation with hands-on demonstrations at this gathering as well.
I am happy to share that we will be gathering to pray the Rosary on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. in St. Camillus Church starting this week. Just bring your beads. Prayer handouts will be provided.
On Wednesday, October 7 at 7 p.m., there will be a Rosary Rally in honor of the Feast Our Lady of the Rosary. We will gather at St. Camillus and process up to the boardwalk (weather permitting) with a candlelight vigil praying the Rosary. Light refreshments will be served afterwards. We welcome everyone to join us.
Faith In Action,
Barbara Buffolino
