National Night Out Set for Aug. 4

It’s time for a Night Out! On Tuesday, August 4, celebrate National Night Out with the 100th and 101st Precincts.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Each year, both local NYPD precincts and police organizations across the country host community events on National Night Out to boost police and community relations with a fun evening.

This year’s 100th Precinct Community Council event will be Tuesday, August 4 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Beach 94th lot near Rockaway Beach Boulevard. The event will include tables with resources, free food, demonstrations, performances, DJ music, rides, raffles and more. Serving as a co-sponsor is the Queens District Attorney’s Office with many other partners.

This year’s 101st Precinct Community Council event will be Tuesday, August 4 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at O’Donohue Park by the Beach 17th Street boardwalk.  The event will include resources, free food, vendors, music, entertainment and more. The event is being held with several community partners.
