The New York City Police Benevolent Association has endorsed Pesach Osina for New York State Assembly District 23, backing his campaigns focus on public safety, support for law enforcement.
“Police officers have the hardest jobs in this city,” Osina said. “They deserve someone in Albany who will fight to fully fund the NYPD, protect their benefits and retirement security, end the revolving door that puts criminals back on the streets, and make sure our police officers have the resources they need to keep our neighborhoods safe.
“That’s why it means so much to have earned the support of the NYC PBA and the police officers who put their lives on the line every single day to protect our communities. Our police officers deserve an Assemblymember who will have their backs and fight for them in Albany.”
Osina has made public safety a central focus of his campaign, calling for stronger bail and retail theft laws, greater accountability for repeat offenders, and policies that provide law enforcement the tools they need to keep communities safe.
“People across South Queens are asking a very basic question: do we feel safe in our own neighborhoods?” Osina said. “We cannot keep accepting a revolving door where repeat offenders are arrested and quickly return to our streets. We need laws that protect working families, support our police officers and make public safety a priority.”
Osina also pledged to protect the pay, benefits and retirement security earned by police officers and other first responders.
The NYC PBA endorsement joins a growing list of labor organizations supporting Osina’s campaign for State Assembly District 23
“Public safety is not optional,” Osina said. “As your Assembly Member, I will work every day to make our neighborhoods safer and make sure the men and women who protect us know that someone in Albany is fighting for them.”
