The Rockaway peninsula was hit hard by loss on September 11, 2001. Twenty-five years later, we remember more than 70 locals who died that day. This list was compiled by the Friends of Tribute Park and all of the names are read at the annual ceremony at Tribute Park. Additionally, we remember the many, many more who have died over the last 25 years of 9/11 related illnesses. They are never forgotten.
