This past weekend, the 14U and 15U Rockawave Volleyball Training (RVT) teams traveled to Indianapolis for an unforgettable national competition, bringing together some of the top club programs from across the country. Beyond the intensity of competition, athletes also experienced the rare opportunity to step onto the court at the iconic Lucas Oil Stadium, an unforgettable backdrop for a weekend of high-level volleyball.
The Rockawave 14U Surf girls saved their best for last. Competing in a stacked 64-team division at the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships, with talent drawn from coast to coast, they hit their stride exactly when it mattered. Facing opponents from Hawaii, Texas, North Carolina, and Florida, the team caught fire on the final day, sweeping every one of their Sunday matches to finish 6–4 and locking down an outstanding 29th-place overall finish.

The Rockawave 15U Surf team went toe-to-toe with elite programs from across the nation, including clubs from Massachusetts, Illinois, Florida, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Every match tested their resilience, teamwork, and competitive spirit against some of the strongest competition in the country. They battled hard against the very best the sport has to offer, coming away with four high quality wins including a three-set thriller against an Arizona team that placed fifth overall.
The 16U team arrived in Indianapolis on Sunday and is continuing their run through July 3, representing RVT on the national stage with determination and pride.
The excitement continues when the program reunites on July 5 for the Third Annual Huggin’ Duggan Classic, held in memory of Caileigh Duggan. The tournament will take place at the Sugar Bowl in Breezy Point, bringing together athletes and families for a meaningful day of competition and community. All proceeds will benefit the Caigh It Forward Foundation, supporting a cause that extends far beyond the court.
