September Stripers

September Stripers

As of now, snapper blues are in wash. Fluke are still here and this week, I got a few striped bass in the wash alongside the jetties.

I use a 13F SP Minnow White to get stripers and metal Hopkins to get blues. The water is clean. It’s cooler in the early a.m. Try to get out as the water cools, the fish will get more active now. Best is go out when tide is low. Walk the beach. Look for bumps and holes in the sand at the waterline. Go back when the water fills in. Fish those spots. Striped bass cruise close to the beach looking for food. Small fish also. Look where the waves are breaking on the beach. Look for signs of bait and fish. Ok, tight lines! See you in the suds.
