A total of 12 judges (from The Rockaway Times, NYC Ferry, NYC Parks and Jamaica Bay – Rockaway Parks Conservancy) had a very difficult time narrowing down the Top 30 photos which are on display on the boardwalk as part of our 2026 photo contest.
Congratulations to the Top 10! All of these 10 photos are eligible to win the top prize of $500. Who will it be? The final winner will be selected at a reception on Thursday, August 27, and will be in the following week’s paper on Thursday, September 3.
Photographers will be contacted with information regarding the reception, where they’ll be able to pick up their posters. They can also be picked up from The Rockaway Times office after August 27.
