On Saturday, August 29, The Campaign Against Hunger brought the community together for a day of soil, sand, and sips at its Farm to Shore volunteer event at Arverne East Urban Farm on Beach 43rd St.
The day began with volunteers working alongside The Campaign Against Hunger (TCAH) on farm projects, harvesting fresh produce that will help provide nutritious food to local families and individuals experiencing food insecurity. Following the volunteer experience, attendees were able to enjoy fresh meals along with refreshing drinks sponsored by SUNBOY before heading to the beach for an afternoon of relaxation, community, and connection.
