We Need to Talk

We Get Email

Dear Editor:

I don’t know why but if someone says the words “we need to talk” to me, I immediately know I did something wrong. I probably unknowingly did or said something that hurt the person. I know it will be an uncomfortable conversation, but it is good to clear the air, to acknowledge and apologize for the hurt caused. When over, usually both parties feel relief and are filled with forgiveness. The relationship is healed. Let’s choose heart to heart talks instead of bad feelings that may fester ending up in gossip.

This week in particular is a sad week in Rockaway, remembering the lost lives of loved ones and friends. Let’s continue to pray for peace in this world. Let’s pray that those in charge of making decisions are thinking with their hearts!

There will be a special 9/11 Remembrance Mass at St. Virgilius on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

There are plenty of opportunities in the Parish to get more involved. Committees and programs are being planned for the St. Camillus-St. Virgilius Parish. There is something for everyone. Fill out a volunteer form found in the church or online. For other September Parish Masses with special intentions, please refer to the online bulletin on www.stcstv.com or join the St. Camillus-St. Virgilius Instagram page.
